Jiří Jan Lobkowicz defends President Petr Pavel's public role

Jiří Jan Lobkowicz, owner of the Mělník estate, has publicly criticized Czech President Petr Pavel regarding his public presence and duties. Following a social media post by Lobkowicz suggesting that the President should focus on governing rather than campaigning for a potential 2028 mandate, actress Kateřina Brožová expressed her indignation toward Lobkowicz.

In response to the criticism, Lobkowicz defended the President's right and obligation to be publicly active. He stated that meeting citizens, traveling the country, and representing the state are essential components of the presidential function rather than mere election campaigning. He emphasized that the President should be judged by his actions rather than his media appearances.
