Jiří Pavlenka to be sidelined for three to four months
PAOK goalkeeper Jiří Pavlenka has announced he will be out of action for three to four months following a serious shoulder injury. The Czech goalkeeper suffered a shoulder dislocation during an away match against Panetolikos in the Stoiximan Super League.
Pavlenka underwent surgery in Munich last week to address the injury. He stated that his recovery is progressing well and expressed his hope to return to the pitch as soon as possible.
In an interview with his former club Werder Bremen's official website, Pavlenka also commented on his life in Greece and the quality of the Greek league, noting that while it differs from the Bundesliga, the top four clubs—Olympiacos, Panathinaikos, AEK, and PAOK—provide high-quality competition during derbies. He reaffirmed his goals of competing in European competitions annually and winning the league championship.
