Jiahui International Hospital opens international cell therapy center

Jiahui International Hospital in Shanghai has launched the Jiahui International Cell Therapy Center to provide CAR-T cell therapies to both domestic and international patients. The center's opening was highlighted during the inaugural Jiahui International Cell Therapy Summit, which drew registrants from 14 countries and regions.

The facility specializes in cellular treatments for blood cancers, solid tumors, and autoimmune diseases. It has already established a track record of treating international patients from Singapore, Hong Kong, Russia, Hungary, New Zealand, India, Pakistan, and the Maldives. Notably, the hospital was among the first institutions to clinically implement Satri-cel (CT041), the world’s first CAR-T therapy approved for solid tumors in China.

During the summit, Eric J. Rubin, Editor-in-Chief of the New England Journal of Medicine, noted the significant increase in research contributions from Chinese scientists. Prof. John K. Hsiang, Chairman of the Jiahui Health Executive Board, also emphasized China’s rapid advancements in medical innovation.
