Jiang Xueqin issues grim geopolitical forecasts for 2027

Analyst Jiang Xueqin, often referred to as ‘China’s Nostradamus’ due to previous predictions regarding Donald Trump, has issued several grim forecasts for 2027 based on historical patterns and geopolitical trends.

Key predictions include a potential long-term military entanglement for the United States in Iran, which Xueqin suggests could last between 10 and 20 years. This conflict could lead to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, triggering a global economic collapse driven by soaring prices for oil, gas, and fertilizer.

Domestically, Xueqin anticipates significant instability within the United States. He predicts the potential return of mandatory military service to meet manpower needs and an increase in the authority of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). He also warns of a ‘low-intensity civil war’ characterized by local uprisings, looting, and clashes in response to political policies, alongside the deployment of National Guard units in major cities to manage unrest.
