Jide Kosoko discusses Nollywood dynamics and Nigerian youth
Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko has shared insights regarding his professional experiences and his views on the current social climate in Nigeria.
Speaking on the African A-List podcast, the 72-year-old actor expressed a sense of trepidation when working with filmmaker Funke Akindele. Kosoko attributed this feeling to Akindele’s intense work ethic and high production standards, noting that her demand for precision and emotional depth creates a high-pressure environment for even seasoned performers.
In a separate context, Kosoko addressed the Nigerian youth, urging them to maintain tolerance and restraint despite the nation's economic challenges. He stated that hunger and frustrations stemming from poor governance should not be used as justifications for misbehavior or losing emotional control.
