Jide Kosoko discusses social media impact on Nollywood

Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko has reflected on how the rise of social media initially caused fear among older entertainment industry professionals regarding job security. Kosoko noted that many practitioners worried the technology would push them out of business, but they eventually adapted by leveraging the computer literacy of younger colleagues.

Regarding newer technological shifts, Kosoko admitted he still does not fully understand artificial intelligence (AI).

In separate remarks, the actor also addressed Nigerian politics, urging citizens to allow President Bola Tinubu more time to implement reforms and address national challenges. He compared governing a nation to a building project, suggesting that success cannot be judged before a project is completed.
