Jihlava region hosts food festivals, cinema, and 800th anniversary celebrations

The Jihlava region is hosting a variety of cultural and community events throughout the final weekend of August. In Jihlava, the Boží Food Fest will take place at Masarykovo náměstí, featuring international cuisine, music, and a live soundtrack to ‘Pulp Fiction’. The city’s ‘Živé kino’ (Live Cinema) series at the Horácké divadlo theater continues its summer screenings in anticipation of the 30th anniversary of the MFDF Jihlava documentary festival, with upcoming films including ‘Minimum lásky’.

Other local activities include a guided tour of the renovated Stříbrný dům, a sports showcase for children and adults at Český Mlýn, and events at the Jihlava Zoo. Additionally, the town of Vyskytná nad Jihlavou is celebrating its 800th anniversary with a multi-day program including theater, markets, fishing workshops, and musical performances.
