Jiřina Bohdalová celebrates 95th birthday following health challenges

Czech actress Jiřina Bohdalová recently celebrated her 95th birthday with a large event at the Hybernia Theatre in Prague. The celebration was attended by various figures from the worlds of culture and politics, including former presidents Václav Klaus and Miloš Zeman, as well as former Slovak president Rudolf Schuster.

The milestone follows a difficult period for the actress, who has faced several health complications, including a pulmonary embolism, food poisoning, and an injury sustained in a vehicle accident. She also recently experienced the loss of her sister, Jaruška, who lived in Sweden.

Dr. Petr Neužil, a prominent cardiologist and director of the cardiology center at Na Homolce Hospital, reported a significant improvement in Bohdalová’s condition. Neužil noted that her physical state has improved exponentially following her birthday celebrations, stating that her current condition is surprisingly strong despite her age.
