Jim Queen animated film arrives in Spain

The French animated film ‘Jim Queen’, directed by Marco Nguyen and Nicolas Athane, is set for release in Spain via Elastica Films on September 4. The film, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, follows a famous Parisian gay influencer who becomes infected with a virus known as ‘heterosis’. This virus causes gay men to transform into heterosexual men, leading the protagonist to lose his physical attributes and social following.

To find a cure, the protagonist teams up with his only remaining admirer, a young man named Untwinko. The story uses satire to address queer stereotypes, body obsession, and social issues such as homophobia and conversion therapies. The film has received positive reviews for its bold, irreverent queer humor and its success in French cinemas.
