Jim Sheridan to head Cinelibri 2026 international jury

Irish filmmaker Jim Sheridan has been appointed as the president of the international jury for the twelfth edition of the Cinelibri festival in 2026. Sheridan, a six-time Oscar nominee known for films such as ‘In the Name of the Father’ and ‘My Left Foot’, will lead the panel evaluating feature-length film adaptations of books.

The festival program features a diverse selection of cinematic works, including titles that have premiered at major international forums like Cannes, Venice, Berlin, and Toronto. Notably, the competition includes two recent Bulgarian adaptations for the first time. The event also includes a gala evening dedicated to Irish culture, organized in collaboration with the Embassy of Ireland in Bulgaria.
