Jimaní Mayor begins sidewalk and curb reconstruction project

The Mayor of Jimaní, Laureano Santana, has officially commenced the first phase of a project to reconstruct sidewalks and curbs on 27 de Febrero Street. The initiative is part of a broader municipal renovation plan aimed at improving pedestrian safety and infrastructure in the border municipality.

Funding for the project was provided by the central government through the Dominican Municipal League (LMD) under the administration of President Luis Abinader. Santana noted that the project responds to community requests regarding the deteriorated state of the town's main thoroughfare.

In addition to the current sidewalk works, the municipal administration has announced several upcoming infrastructure projects, including the inauguration of the Villa Armonía park in December, the construction of a new cemetery, a municipal market, and a fire station.
