Jimbaroo Downs farming aggregation offered in Central Queensland
Jimbaroo Downs, a 2,796-hectare (6,909-acre) broadacre farming aggregation, is available in the Gemini Mountains district of Central Queensland. Located on the Peak Downs Highway, the property is situated 24km west of Kilcummin and 87km from Clermont.
The large-scale operation includes 1,788 hectares of arable land used for a rotation of summer and winter crops, such as chickpeas, sorghum, mung beans, wheat, and barley. The remaining land is utilized for grazing and operational purposes.
Infrastructure on the property includes three residences, an airstrip, a workshop, an original shearing shed, and multiple machinery sheds. It also features 807 tonnes of grain storage across seven silos, a substantial on-farm dam, a 50-megalitre underground irrigation licence, and a network of water storage tanks.
Dan Quigley of Colliers Agribusiness noted that the property offers potential for feed bunk development and silage production, which could allow northern cattle producers to use the site as a weaner backgrounding asset for southern markets or feedlots.
