Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht Faces New Fraud Trial in Innsbruck
German actor Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht is scheduled to appear before the Schwurgericht of the Landesgericht Innsbruck on 1 October. The case concerns an unpaid hotel bill of €13,827.35 for a birthday party held in December 2021 at Hotel Sonne in Kirchberg, Austria.
The Austrian prosecution alleges serious fraud, arguing that Ochsenknecht failed to demonstrate responsibility or awareness of wrongdoing despite repeated reminders and court orders. Earlier, the lower court had closed the matter through diversion, allowing him to pay the amount in installments, but the Oberlandesgericht Innsbruck overturned that decision, requiring a full trial.
Ochsenknecht was detained at Hamburg Airport in June 2025, spent 23 days in pre‑trial custody, and was released on a €15,000 bail. His former partner Yeliz Koç later paid the outstanding sum. A possible prison sentence remains pending, though the outcome is still uncertain.
