Jimmer Fredette named MVP at FIBA 3x3 Phoenix Challenger

Jimmer Fredette was named MVP of the FIBA 3x3 Phoenix Challenger following his return to competitive play. Leading Team Miami, Fredette scored eight points in the final to secure a 22-16 victory over Amsterdam, helping his team finish the two-day tournament with a 5-0 record.

This tournament marks Fredette’s return to the court after more than two years away from the game. He recently stepped down from his position as managing director of the USA Basketball men’s 3x3 program to focus on playing. Team Miami’s performance earns them a spot in the 2026 FIBA 3x3 World Tour Deqing in China.

Other notable contributors for Team Miami included Riley Battin with 38 points, Parrott with 24 points, and Henry Caruso with 17 points. Fredette, a former NBA lottery pick and 2011 AP men’s college basketball player of the year, previously competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
