Sweden's Tidö coalition faces internal tension amid election pressure

Tensions are rising within Sweden’s Tidö coalition as Jimmie Åkesson of the Sweden Democrats has publicly questioned the reliability of Ebba Busch. The friction stems from Busch’s comments regarding potential cooperation with Social Democrat Magdalena Andersson in exceptional circumstances, such as war or crisis.

Åkesson has further pressured the Liberal Party, stating that if they do not reach at least 3.5 percent in polling ten days before the election, voters should not cast support votes for them to avoid wasting votes. This stance has placed Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson in a difficult position as he attempts to maintain the image of a united government.
