Jimmy Buffett Documentary Trailer Reveals Band’s Early Years

A new trailer has been released for the documentary *Occupational Hazard: The First Coral Reefers*, which chronicles the formation and evolution of Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band. Narrated by Jeff Bridges, the film mixes previously unseen archival footage with fresh interviews to highlight the friendships, touring experiences, and studio sessions that shaped the group’s distinctive sound.

Director John H. Cunningham says the film traces the band’s origins in the 1970s, showing how a group of fun‑loving musicians laid the groundwork for one of rock’s longest‑running touring acts. The documentary is slated to open in major U.S. cities on September 4, coinciding with Jimmy Buffett Day, followed by a digital release in October.
