Jimmy Onishi shares anecdotes about driving for Sanma Akashiya

Comedian Jimmy Onishi appeared on Tsutomu Sekine’s YouTube channel to share stories from his time serving as a driver for entertainer Sanma Akashiya.

Onishi recounted an incident where he attempted to use a shortcut suggested by Tamori. The detour resulted in Onishi getting lost and accidentally driving Akashiya back to his own home. This mishap caused Akashiya to be late for a live broadcast of ‘Waratte Iitomo!’, though Akashiya reportedly handled the situation with humor by explaining the delay to staff and addressing it during his segment.

Onishi also discussed his heightened sense of smell, noting that he once inadvertently offended a woman by commenting on her menstrual cycle. He shared that Akashiya reacted with significant anger toward him for making such an inappropriate remark, telling him, “There are things you should and should not say!”
