Suzano announces global pulp price increases for October
Suzano, the world's largest producer of short-fiber eucalyptus pulp, has announced price increases across all its major markets, effective October. In the Americas and Europe, prices will rise by US$ 50 per ton, bringing the reference price in Europe to approximately US$ 1,360 per ton. In China and other Asian markets, the increase will be US$ 20 per ton, following a previous adjustment made less than a month ago.
This move comes as the global pulp market rebalances more rapidly than anticipated. Analysts from Itaú BBA noted that falling global inventories and increased purchasing by Chinese paper manufacturers have contributed to this recovery. While Itaú BBA views the market recovery as swift, XP Investimentos maintains a more cautious outlook.
Other Brazilian business developments include the transformation of Rede Paz, led by Luiz Felipe Do Valle Silva Quental de Menezes, which is evolving traditional gas stations into multi-service hubs featuring electric vehicle charging and convenience services. Additionally, the food sector is seeing growth in private label solutions, with Temperatta expanding its customized portfolio to meet rising consumer demand for quality and convenience.
