Jin Air begins joint training for merged LCC workforce

Jin Air has launched a large-scale joint training program for employees of Jin Air, Air Busan, and Air Seoul to facilitate their upcoming merger. This initiative follows the merger agreement signed by the three low-cost carriers (LCCs) on August 21.

The training program targets 270 newly promoted managers and assistant managers across four sectors: general administration, cabin crew, technical services, and aircraft maintenance. Scheduled to take place over five sessions between October and November, the curriculum focuses on aligning organizational cultures, establishing roles, and enhancing problem-solving capabilities to minimize operational confusion after the integration.

Specific modules include crisis management simulations for managers, such as responding to system failures following the launch of an integrated system, and practical communication exercises for assistant managers to handle real-world airport scenarios. Jin Air is working toward the official launch of the integrated airline in March next year, following recent regulatory progress including a merger approval from the Vietnam Competition Commission.
