Jin Akanishi wins Asia Star Award and honors late co-star Yuri Nakamura

Japanese actor Jin Akanishi received the Asia Star Award at the Seoul International Drama Awards. During his acceptance speech, Akanishi offered a tribute to his former co-star, actress Yuri Nakamura, who passed away from rectal cancer on September 1 at the age of 44.

Akanishi later addressed observations from viewers who noticed his body trembling significantly while on stage. He clarified on social media that the shaking was not due to nerves, but rather because his left leg had fallen asleep after sitting with his legs crossed. He explained that while attempting to balance his weight on his right leg to hide the numbness, his right leg began to shake uncontrollably during the speech.
