JIN-ITS Bio and Yuhan Corporation partner for AI drug discovery

JIN-ITS Bio, Yuhan Corporation, DGIST, and the Yonsei-Yuhan Lung Cancer Research Institute have signed a four-party agreement to promote AI Transformation (AX) in the biotechnology industry. The collaboration aims to establish a comprehensive ecosystem that connects AI-driven drug candidate discovery with clinical validation and commercialization.

The partnership will focus on establishing an AX Joint Research Lab to identify and plan research projects that address unmet medical needs. Each institution will contribute specific expertise: DGIST provides AI and supercomputing capabilities; Yuhan Corporation offers global drug development and commercialization experience; JIN-ITS Bio serves as the R&D execution hub for candidate material validation and optimization; and the Yonsei-Yuhan Lung Cancer Research Institute provides clinical and translational research expertise.

This initiative seeks to create a platform-based open innovation model, increasing productivity in drug development and expanding opportunities for technology transfers and joint development through the integration of AI, supercomputing, and clinical insights.
