Jin Jiang Hotels to launch Southeast Asia’s first Renjoy Hotel in Desaru

Jin Jiang Hotels (Malaysia) has announced plans to introduce the first Renjoy Hotel in Southeast Asia, located in Desaru, Johor. This follows a hotel management agreement signed with Techvance Hotel & Resort, the hospitality division of Techvance Group.

Under the agreement, the existing Sand & Sandals Desaru Beach Resort & Spa will be rebranded and refreshed as Renjoy Hotel Desaru. The project aims to combine Techvance’s local development expertise with Jin Jiang Hotels’ international operating capabilities to attract both domestic and international leisure and corporate travelers.

The expansion comes amid growth in Malaysia’s tourism sector, which recorded 42.2 million international visitor arrivals in 2025. The state of Johor specifically saw 10.63 million overnight tourists during the same period.
