Raj Dhesi, known professionally as Jinder Mahal, has clarified misconceptions regarding WWE's departure procedures. He explained that the company does not utilize a 90-day non-compete clause for released talent. Instead, the period functions as a paid notice period where the individual remains under contract and receives compensation until the notice expires. Once this period concludes, the talent is free to work for other promotions.

Dhesi also shared personal reflections on his career trajectory following his release from WWE. He noted that his time away from the company provided an opportunity for self-reflection and personal reinvention. He credited his professional resurgence and eventual WWE Championship run to a disciplined lifestyle, which included a decade-long commitment to sobriety and a dedicated focus on physical and mental training.
