Jindřichův Hradec poultry plant receives construction permit
A new poultry processing plant in Jindřichův Hradec, Czech Republic, has received official construction approval. The facility, owned by Josef Kolář through Rhea holding, will focus on processing live poultry into chilled and minimally frozen meat.
The plant is designed to utilize advanced robotic technology and is expected to feature a production line capable of processing 10,000 chickens per hour. The site will include five buildings, a production hall covering approximately 19,531 square meters, and a parking lot for over 100 vehicles. Additionally, an on-site store will be available for customers to purchase processed meat.
Mayor Michal Kozár expressed support for the project, noting its potential to create new jobs and strengthen the local economy. The facility aims to integrate the production chain by using feed grown on local fields to process the poultry, ensuring a traceable domestic origin for the products.
