Jindo County hosts AI academy to prepare residents for digital era

Jindo County held its second 2026 ‘Jindo Resident Happiness Academy’ to help citizens prepare for the rapid advancements in artificial intelligence. The event featured Professor Kim Sang-gyun, an expert in AI and future society, who discussed how digital transformation is altering daily life and the strategies residents can adopt to adapt to these changes.

The lecture aimed to bridge the gap between complex technology and everyday life, providing practical tips to ensure that residents of all ages and digital literacy levels can utilize AI without feeling marginalized. Jindo County Mayor Lee Jae-gak stated that the academy is intended to reduce fear regarding new technologies and empower citizens to lead in a changing future through inclusive lifelong education programs.
