JINGJIN Equipment to introduce mobile tailings solutions in Brazil
Chinese company JINGJIN Equipment is introducing mobile filtration solutions to the Brazilian mining market to address the growing need for alternatives to tailings dams. This shift is driven by regulatory changes and the ongoing decommissioning of upstream dams in Brazil. According to the National Mining Agency (ANM), as of the end of 2025, Brazil maintained 45 upstream dams under the National Dam Safety Policy, representing 9.6% of the 470 structures covered by the policy.
New engineering priorities focus on water recovery and safe waste disposal. Pressure filter presses are being utilized to separate solids from water, producing a low-moisture cake and allowing water to be recycled into industrial processes. To manage large volumes without the need for permanent infrastructure at every site, JINGJIN Equipment will present mobile filtration stations at EXPOSIBRAM 2026 in Belo Horizonte, scheduled for August 24–27.
