Jingxiong Express begins full-line trial operations
The Jingxiong Express has officially commenced full-line trial operations, marking a significant milestone in the development of the Beijing-Xiongan one-hour metropolitan circle. The 86-kilometer line connects Xiongan Intercity Station to Beijing's Caoqiao Station via Daxing Airport, integrating with the Beijing Subway Daxing Airport Line.
As China's first rail express designed for 200 km/h speeds with a high-frequency, bus-like operational model, the line aims to provide seamless regional connectivity. The trial operation will be conducted in two stages: the first focuses on testing vehicle, signal, and communication systems alongside emergency response coordination; the second involves schedule verification to assess punctuality and operational reliability.
Once fully operational, the express will allow passengers to travel from Xiongan to Daxing Airport in 30 minutes and to Beijing's Lize Business District in one hour. The project supports the strategic relocation of non-capital functions from Beijing by providing efficient, integrated transit options.
