JINS launches limited‑edition Ghost in the Shell eyewear collection

Japanese eyewear brand JINS has partnered with the cyber‑punk franchise Ghost in the Shell to release a three‑type, limited‑edition collection on July 16, 2026. The line includes four styles across two design shapes, featuring the brand’s first electronic photochromic sunglasses limited to 1,000 units worldwide. The lenses automatically adjust opacity using liquid‑crystal film technology. Frames combine aluminum and stainless steel and incorporate JINS’s proprietary Multi‑Directional Movement hinge.

Pricing is set at ¥29,900 (approximately $390) for the sunglasses and ¥19,900 (approximately $290) for the optical glasses. Each pair comes with exclusive packaging, a cleaning cloth with artwork by series creator Masamune Shirow, a soft case, and a glasses‑cord inspired by the series’ QRS interface plugs.
