Jinshanling Great Wall hosts final Golden Trail World Series regular race

The Golden Trail World Series (GTWS) is heading to the Jinshanling Great Wall Trail Race in China, marking the seventh and final regular-season event. The race features a 24-kilometer course with 1,889 meters of elevation gain, utilizing the historic terrain of the Great Wall.

Following recent victories at the Myoko Trail in Japan, Patrick Kipngeno and Hanna Groeber are set to compete. In the men’s division, Philemon Kiriago enters the race as the current overall standings leader. In the women’s division, Caroline Kimutai seeks to close the gap in the championship standings, particularly as series leader Madalina Florea is absent due to illness.

The results from the Chinese round will be critical for athletes aiming for top-20 prize money or top-30 positions, which guarantee financial and logistical support for the 2027 season. The series will conclude with the Muju Trail Grand Finale in South Korea next October.
