Jio Platforms completes ₹10.3 lakh crore IPO

Jio Platforms Limited has completed a historic initial public offering (IPO) in India, reaching a valuation of ₹10.3 lakh crore. The company issued 27 crore new shares at a price of ₹1,119 per share. This marks the first time an Indian company has launched an IPO with a valuation exceeding ₹10 lakh crore.

At this valuation, Jio Platforms becomes the fourth largest Indian company by market capitalization, following Reliance Industries, Bharti Airtel, and HDFC Bank. The company is scheduled to list on the NSE and BSE on October 28, 2026.

Market demand for the IPO was significant, with subscription figures reaching 19 times. Analysts and grey market indicators suggest a potential listing premium of approximately 20% to 22%. If the stock debuts at a 20% premium, its market capitalization would exceed ₹12.3 lakh crore, potentially making it the second most valuable company in India, positioned just below its parent company, Reliance Industries.
