Jio Platforms posts record EBITDA and files IPO prospectus as subscriber base exceeds 530 million
Jio Platforms Limited reported a record quarterly EBITDA of ₹20,865 crore for the quarter ended 30 June 2026, lifting its EBITDA margin to 53.3%—the highest in its history. Revenue rose 12% year‑on‑year to ₹45,961 crore, with profit after tax increasing 9.2% to ₹7,764 crore.
The telecom arm’s subscriber base reached 533.3 million, up 7.1% from the previous year, adding 8.9 million net users and improving monthly churn to 1.6%. Its 5G subscriber count hit 285 million, with 5G data usage about 1.5 times that of 4G. Fixed‑line broadband subscribers grew to 28.6 million, driven largely by Jio AirFiber, which contributed roughly 14 million subscribers and accounted for over 75% of fixed‑band additions. Total data traffic surged 26.9% YoY to 69.4 billion GB.
During the quarter, Jio Platforms filed a Draft Red‑Herring Prospectus with SEBI, marking a key step toward its upcoming public listing. The company also climbed into the global top‑20 of the Patent Cooperation Treaty rankings, reflecting its expanding portfolio in 5G, AI‑native networks and emerging technologies.
