Hunkkaar - The Roar socio-thriller JioHotstar Indian streaming series Aneet Padda

JioHotstar has announced its upcoming socio-thriller series, ‘Hunkkaar - The Roar’, marking Aneet Padda’s first project following her 2025 hit ‘Saiyaara’. The series is set in the Indian heartlands and explores crimes occurring under the guise of communion and systemic licenses.

The show features a lead cast including Fatima Sana Shaikh, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and Arjun Mathur. Character posters for the four primary characters have been released, indicating an ‘A’ rating for viewers aged 18 and older. Raghubir Yadav is reportedly cast as the antagonist.

Directed by Nitya Mehra and Karan Kapadia, the production is a joint venture involving Birla Studios, Applause Entertainment, Purple Pebble Pictures, and Mangata Films. The first teaser for the series is scheduled for release on Tuesday.
