Jirai Glico mystery novel to receive live-action drama adaptation

The award-winning mystery novel ‘Jirai Glico’ by Yugo Aosaki is being adapted into a live-action drama. The series will be released exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in over 240 countries and regions starting November 13.

Nana Mori and Ayaju Makita will co-star in the production. Mori portrays Mato Imoriya, a genius with exceptional insight and strategic skills, while Makita plays Kazahi Koda, her supportive and caring friend. The story follows high-stakes psychological battles involving everyday games like ‘Daruma-san ga Koronda’ and ‘Janken,’ which are transformed through unique, extreme rules.

The project is produced by THE SEVEN, with Akiteru Morii serving as producer. The series will be directed by Kazuyoshi Seki, known for his rhythmic and stylish visual direction in music videos for artists such as Perfume and Sakanaction.
