Jitendra Kumar discusses transition from IIT to acting career

Actor Jitendra Kumar, known for his roles in ‘Panchayat’ and the ‘Mirzapur’ film adaptation, recently shared insights into his transition from engineering to acting. During an appearance on the ‘Pehla Pehla’ show, Kumar reflected on how his time at IIT Kharagpur served as a turning point in his life.

While his initial focus was academic, leading him to study in Kota and secure a seat at IIT Kharagpur, he discovered theatre during his college years. He noted that participating in various competitions helped him realize a passion for performing. Kumar also discussed the challenges of adjusting to the campus environment, specifically mentioning the difficulty of navigating a setting where English was the dominant language of communication.
