Athletes from the Caracol social project, Guerreiros do Bem Jiu-Jitsu, secured 10 medals at the 2026 World Jiu-Jitsu competition in Brusque, Santa Catarina. The event, organized by the CBJJC, featured approximately 1,500 competitors from seven countries, including Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Italy, Uruguay, Argentina, and Guatemala.
Key medalists included David Siqueira Borges, who earned three gold medals, and sensei Acássio Calixto, who won gold in the Master 2 category. Other winners included João Lucas Galdino and Isabelly Benites Ferreira de Sousa.
Separately, the São Paulo International Cup of Jiu-Jitsu Desportivo is scheduled for November 8 at Arena Sorocaba. Organized by FJJD-SP and CBJJD, the tournament offers cash prizes for absolute categories and incentives for winning teams, such as hotel accommodations and registrations for the 2027 World Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Rio de Janeiro.
