Police confirmed the incident was fabricated by a 37-year-old man named Yao to drive social media traffic and increase his follower count. Investigations revealed that Yao had been building a persona as a dedicated donor since 2014, often evaluating students based on their appearance and clothing. Law enforcement is currently processing the case for violating regulations regarding the spread of misinformation.
