Jizera Mountains race sets record with 3,804 participants

The Běhej lesy running series achieved a new milestone in Bedřichov, Jizera Mountains, with a record-breaking 3,804 participants attending the summer Jizerská event. This turnout marks the largest race in the history of the series.

Key race results included Karel Splítek winning the sold-out 50 km ultra marathon, while Tereza Hluchá secured second place overall after finishing as the first woman. Other winners included Zdeněk Pichl and Tereza Novotná in the 11 km race, Lukáš Olejníček and Aneta Císařová in the 23 km race, and Jan Šmika and Kamila Netíková in the 5 km distance.

The event also featured a children's race with 573 young athletes. Beyond the competition, the series continues its charitable efforts; through partnerships with ČSOB and Mastercard, the season has raised 458,375 CZK for the Mathilda Foundation to support the training of guide dogs for the visually impaired.
