JJ Torano wins STAWAG-Prize for Young Riders in Aachen

Sixteen-year-old American rider JJ Torano secured a victory in the STAWAG-Prize CSIY for Young Riders during the FEI World Championships in Aachen, Germany. Competing on the iconic grass field in the main stadium, Torano and his 12-year-old Hanoverian stallion, Lyon 50, completed a fast, error-free round in 63.96 seconds.

Torano narrowly defeated Germany’s Max Paschertz, who finished with a time of 64.43 seconds. The third-place position was taken by Brazil’s Luiz Felipe Neto de Azevedo riding Granit de la Mure, who clocked in at 65.80 seconds.

Reflecting on his debut in Aachen, Torano praised the performance and heart of his horse, noting the unique atmosphere of the stadium and the experience of the victory lap.
