JKAS officers cleared for IAS induction
Fourteen officers from the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) have been cleared for induction into the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). The Union Ministry of Home Affairs and the Department of Personnel and Training are currently seeking the consent of these officers before a formal notification is issued.
The clearance follows a meeting held by the Union Public Service Commission in New Delhi in April 2026. While 23 vacancies were identified for induction, nine vacancies related to retired officers will be carried forward to the following year. Once consent is obtained, the General Administration Department will forward responses to the central ministries to finalize the induction and allocate respective years against the available vacancies.
