J.League announces 2026/27 club distribution amounts

The J.League has announced the candidate clubs for the 2026/27 season ‘Philosophy Reinforcement Distribution’ and the specific amounts for the 2026 special season ‘Fan Indicator Distribution’. This follows the league's strategic shift toward a performance-based distribution model, rewarding competitive results and fan engagement rather than focusing solely on equal distribution.

The Philosophy Reinforcement Distribution, totaling 2.16 billion yen, is based on J1 League rankings from 2024 and 2025, the newly established 2026 Meiji Yasuda J1 100th Anniversary League, and fan metrics. Kashima Antlers is projected to receive the highest amount at 485 million yen, followed by Vissel Kobe with 360 million yen and Sanfrecce Hiroshima with 215 million yen.

The Fan Indicator Distribution, totaling approximately 1.04 billion yen, is distributed among all 60 clubs based on DAZN viewership numbers and season pass sales. Urawa Red Diamonds leads this category with approximately 75.72 million yen, followed by Yokohama F. Marinos, Kawasaki Frontale, and Kashima Antlers.
