J.League announces U-15 selection for Brazil tournament
The J.League has announced the formation of a U-15 J.League Selection team to participate in the 26th Japan-Brazil Friendship Cup. The tournament will be held at the Zico Soccer Center in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from August 29 to September 3.
An 18-player squad has been selected from the academies of 15 clubs across J1, J2, and J3 divisions. Under the management of Tomomune Tanaka, the team aims to improve competitive skills and promote personal growth through international experience. This marks the 16th time the selection has participated in the event since 2005.
In addition to the J.League Selection, Japanese academy teams from Kashima Antlers and Fagiano Okayama will also compete. The tournament features 12 teams divided into three groups. The U-15 J.League Selection is placed in Group A alongside CR Flamengo, Grêmio FBPA, and EC Vitória.
