J.League announces U-16 selection squad for Germany tour

The J.League has announced a 23-member roster for the U-16 J.League Selection team's upcoming overseas tour in Germany. The expedition is part of the J.League Global Football Advisor Project, which aims to enhance Japanese football competitiveness by integrating global training and coaching methodologies.

Led by Global Football Advisor Roger Schmidt, the squad will travel to Düsseldorf from September 21 to October 1. During the tour, the players will participate in training matches against the U-17 youth organizations of Fortuna Düsseldorf and Bayer Leverkusen. The program also includes joint training sessions with Bayer Leverkusen, educational programs, and stadium tours.

The selected roster features one player from each of the 23 academies representing clubs across the J1, J2, and J3 divisions. Notable selections include players such as Reon Kakinuma from Kashima Antlers Youth and Rumi Yoshida from Kawasaki Frontale U-18.
