Júlio César claims Mesut Özil may have missed goal on purpose during 2014 World Cup

Former Brazilian goalkeeper Júlio César has shared his perspective on the 2014 World Cup semifinal where Germany defeated Brazil 7-1. During an interview with RomárioTV, Júlio César expressed his belief that German midfielder Mesut Özil may have intentionally missed a scoring opportunity when the score was already 7-0.

Júlio César noted that the German players appeared highly motivated to continue scoring, even when the match was effectively decided. He recalled that teammate Bastian Schweinsteiger reportedly reprimanded Özil in German for missing the chance to extend the lead, which the goalkeeper interpreted as a sign of the team's intense desire to maintain professional standards and scoring momentum.
