JMGO launches IRIS Ultra Max 4K/120Hz projector

Chinese projection brand JMGO has launched the IRIS Ultra Max in the US and Europe, claiming it is the world’s first projector to combine true 4K resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate.

While many projectors can accept 4K/120Hz signals, they often convert them to 4K/60Hz for playback. JMGO asserts that the IRIS Ultra Max utilizes a purpose-built hardware architecture to support the necessary processing speed, response time, and bandwidth to deliver actual 4K at 120Hz. The company demonstrated the device at the IFA technology show in Berlin, using its previous 4K/60Hz N5 Ultra Max model for side-by-side comparisons to highlight smoother motion and camera pans.
