JMOFA project improves livelihoods in Son La province

The JMOFA project, titled “Improving the livelihoods of ethnic minorities in Son La province through agriculture and nutrition improvement,” is providing essential support to families in the Bac Yen region. The initiative focuses on providing livestock, such as breeding chickens, to help residents overcome poverty and food insecurity.

In one instance, a local resident, Le Thi S., has seen significant improvements in her family's stability. Through the project, her family has established a sustainable source of food and income via vegetable gardens and livestock. Additionally, the program provides nutritional guidance and health monitoring for children, helping to combat malnutrition in the mountainous area.
