Jo Bo Ah reportedly to replace Lee Chung Ah in drama The Obedient Killer

Actress Jo Bo Ah has been reported to join the cast of the upcoming noir drama “The Obedient Killer” as the character Lee Hwa Ra, also known by the codename “Miss Lee.” The role was originally held by Lee Chung Ah, who had already participated in several filming sessions.

Lee Chung Ah was forced to withdraw from the production following a car accident in August that aggravated a pre-existing back injury. Due to medical advice to minimize movement for at least six weeks, she is unable to perform the physically demanding action scenes required for the role.

“The Obedient Killer” is set in the 1970s and 1980s and follows a woman who enters the workforce to survive following a divorce. The series will also star Kim Da Mi and Jo Aram, with Lee Jung Heum directing and Joo Hwa Mi writing the screenplay. While some reports indicate Jo Bo Ah is preparing to begin filming, her agency has noted she is currently reviewing the casting offer.
