Jo Kwon discusses past financial hardships and personal life

Singer and entertainer Jo Kwon, a member of the group 2AM, shared personal stories regarding his past financial struggles and romantic life during an appearance on the YouTube content ‘Shin Yeoseong’.

Jo revealed that despite his peak popularity on variety shows like ‘Star King’ and ‘Sebakui’, he faced significant economic hardship. He explained that under previous industry practices, trainees were required to repay the costs invested in them by their agencies. He recalled a turning point when he discovered his mother had to wash her hair with cold water because the hot water had been cut off, which motivated him to work harder to achieve financial stability.

Regarding his personal life, Jo discussed his views on marriage and past relationships. He noted that all four members of 2AM are currently unmarried but expressed a desire to start a family in the future. He also shared that he tends to engage in long-term relationships and had previously considered marriage with a former partner, though he is currently waiting for a person he truly connects with.
