Jão launches ‘Memórias Póstumas’ tour in São Paulo
Singer Jão launched his ‘Memórias Póstumas’ tour in São Paulo with a performance at Nubank Parque, drawing approximately 60,000 attendees. The event marked the artist's return to large-scale touring following a hiatus of over a year.
The concert featured a 360-degree stage located in the center of the lawn and was structured into five acts consisting of 25 songs. The production included theatrical elements such as a water mirror, artificial rain, and fireworks. The show included guest appearances by actress Isabel Teixeira, who performed monologues, and Federal Deputy Erika Hilton, who joined the stage during the song ‘Meninos e Meninas’ to honor the LGBTQIA+ community.
The new tour follows the release of Jão's fifth studio album, also titled ‘Memórias Póstumas’. The artist's recent break from the spotlight was marked by personal changes, including the loss of his father and a relocation to the interior of São Paulo.
