Jo Nesbø discusses literary inspiration and Croatia

Norwegian crime novelist Jo Nesbø recently appeared on the Croatian program ‘Nedjeljom u 2’ to discuss his career, inspiration, and his connection to Croatia. Nesbø recalled his first visit to the country at age seventeen, describing a friendly encounter in a coastal town where a local bank manager assisted him and his friend with traveler's checks after they accidentally ended up in Belgrade.

In addition to discussing his writing process and views on artificial intelligence, the discussion touched upon the film adaptation of his novel ‘The Snowman’. Directed by Tomas Alfredson and executive produced by Martin Scorsese, the film stars Michael Fassbender as detective Harry Hole. The production was filmed on location in Norway, including Oslo, Bergen, and Ryfylke, during the winter season.
