Jo Nesbø to visit Croatia for new Harry Hole novel tour
Norwegian crime novelist Jo Nesbø is returning to Croatia this September for a tour following the release of his fourteenth Harry Hole novel, ‘Završni kadar’ (The Final Cut). The author will meet readers in Split on September 26 as part of the Mediterranean Book Festival, with entry open to all. On September 27, he will appear in Zagreb at Tvornica Kulture.
Public interest for the Zagreb event has been exceptionally high; the publisher, Fokus, reported that all 450 free tickets were claimed within just two hours of registration opening on September 4.
The new novel marks a significant shift for the long-running series. Nearly thirty years after the introduction of the character in ‘Šišmiš’ (The Bat), Harry Hole is no longer a police officer. The story follows Hole as he attempts to leave behind a violent past, only to be drawn back into an investigation in Oslo involving a killer who stages crimes like cinematic scenes. The investigation is led by Oleg Fauke, the son of Hole’s former partner Rakel.
